Cultivating community through creativity

Explore some of my community projects, designed to foster togetherness, provoke thought, and offer a welcoming space for all. Discover how these initiatives empower individuals to connect, create, and contribute to a more hopeful and sustainable future.

Story-led, place-based projects

I invite people to share personal stories, memories, and lived experiences of their town or local landscape. These projects help build belonging, preserve local knowledge, and deepen people’s emotional connection to place as well as cultivating hope for the future.

Creative environmental expression

Workshops where people explore environmental concerns through mixed media, textiles, banners, or reclaimed materials. These projects allow people to process eco-anxiety, frustration, or hope creatively, and transform those feelings into visible, shared statements about the future they want to see.

Inclusive, accessible community workshops

Projects designed with accessibility at the core, welcoming people of different ages, abilities, and confidence levels. The emphasis is on gentle facilitation, shared learning, and removing barriers to participation, ensuring everyone feels able to contribute meaningfully.

Community-led visioning and imagining futures

Projects that help communities imagine a greener, fairer, and healthier future for their town. These often result in collective artworks, displays, or installations that act as conversation starters and catalysts for local action and collaboration.

Art as a tool for connection and wellbeing

Work that uses creativity to reduce isolation, improve wellbeing, and strengthen social ties, particularly for people who may feel disconnected, unheard, or overwhelmed by environmental issues.

Projects that lead to ongoing engagement

Rather than one-off activities, Edith Reeve's most representative projects encourage people to stay involved – joining local eco groups, supporting community hubs, attending events, or continuing creative and environmental action together.
